The preparation of surface is one of the most important factors in having a long lasting floor. Our company is constantly striving to find the best preparation tools to insure coating adhesion. With that said, we do have some of the best technology available today that we own and operate in-house. For commercial and industrial floor coating removals, we sometimes prefer a method called shot blasting for coating removal, which is a process of using micro metal balls shot at the concrete at a very high velocity to break up the coating and remove the topical coating layers. For residential surfaces, our preferred method of removal is by an industrial grinding system. Both solutions offer a dust containment system which vacuums up the coating removal and concrete dust. Not only is it efficient, this method of removal will also prepare the concrete and smoothen the topical concrete to create the best bond of the coating to become one with the concrete. Thus- eliminating the chance for future peeling or lifting including hot tire pick up. (Chemical stripping or use of a pressure washer is simply less effective and very messy; there forth it is not recommended).
